Final Days

The Final Unforgettable Days
of these
Band of Brothers

The last days we had regular beds to sleep, plenty to eat and
drink, and time for a little fun recreation between
 occupational duties.

At Lager Schlatt Skiing was a great past time while you were
doing occupational duties. Austrian experts offered to give
some of the seasoned warriors their first lessons on the
 slopes.
Frank Block took a picture at the top of the Cog Railway Track.

There are several ways to get to the top of the mountains.
One is the Cog Railway. There is a gear on the the bottom of
the train with big teeth that connects with a tooth on the track
and helps propel it up the steep climb.

The soldiers occupational duties took them down over the
 border to Bolzana, Italy.

"Cisco" and the boys pass the time playing Soccer at Camp
St. Louis waiting
to go home. They also had baseball games
 complete with teams.
