Combat Infantryman Badge



The badge is awarded to infantrymen and Special Forces
 soldiers in rank of Colonel and below who personally fought
 in active ground combat.

Good Conduct Medal



This medal and ribbon is given for good conduct. It is one of
the oldest awards given out usually after you have completed
3 consecutive years of service with the military with no
 arrests or major problems.

Certificate of Merit 



This ribbon is given out for Certificate of Merit
(I would like to know more about this ribbon. The
information online said it was discontinued after
WW1)

 American Campaign Ribbon



Issued to servicemen that served outside the continental
United States during the WW2 timeperiod.

European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign 
 Ribbon

This ribbon is for fighting in one if the overseas campaign in
 WW2 in the European theater
(includes Africa and 
the Middle East). 

Franks has 2 bronze stars on his ribbon  meaning he was
in 2 different campaignsi

Army of Occupation of Germany Ribbon


This ribbon was awarded for servicemen who
occupied an area in Germany.

Overseas Service Bar



The Overseas service bar indicates that a serviceman has
served 6 months overseas.

Frank brought home 3 German hand guns and had to have a signed  certificate by this officer that showed they were inspected and approved as war trophies. 


This is a metal model of a jeep that Frank Block pained on the bumper, 103rd division, 310 infantry, 1 stands for 1st platoon.
